Every company becomes a brand when it successfully adapts its company values and honestly works on maintaining them. Any company’s core values should not be based on their current requirements & demands, for instance, if members of the company are not able to adhere to the company's values and policies they can make changes to those policies. Also, these kinds of acts are not even considered values if they keep on changing so easily. Every value or policy should be made of a clear emotion and while these policies are made that emotion should be reflected clearly.

One of the ways most companies adapt to let employees follow those values is by making a “no tolerance policy” on certain acts to maintain those values of the companies. One of the common examples of the zero-tolerance policy is no sexual harassment and no discrimination in the workplace. By accepting these policies many workplace’s environment has become better than before and adds value to the company work culture
There are usually two types of values in every company that are common. First, the no-tolerance policy is a fixed policy and cannot be changed or altered by anyone, there are fixed punishments for example: no discrimination in the workplace . The other policies can be altered and updated over time. For example: temporary policies like some offices change their office timing in winters due to change in whether these types of policies keep on changing according to circumstances.

- Alignment with mission and vision: The company values are always aligned with the vision & mission of the company. It should reflect the overall goal and aspiration, and provide a clear vision of actions & behaviors.
- Resonate with employees: Values should be made in a manner that resonates with employees' attributes. It shouldn’t be in a way that employees start feeling bound or trapped, instead, it should be encouraging and they embody these principles in their daily work.
- leadership examples: Every value that a company makes should be strictly followed by its leaders too. So, the set of rules followed by the leader itself remarked as an example for others of how things should be done correctly. And encourage others to follow those values.
